A student's first real job can change a whole family's future.
We train students in Africa, the Pacific Islands, and developing communities around the world, then give them paid remote professional work. Your gift funds the training that gets them there.
Give in under a minute.
Any amount helps, one-time or monthly. Pay with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or a U.S. bank account. UI Charitable emails your tax receipt automatically.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't.
Across Africa and the Pacific Islands, students are earning degrees through programs like BYU–Pathway while the local job market has little room for them. They have the drive and the education. What they lack is a first professional job.
Pearl 27 hires these students as remote professionals. Before a student can do client work, they need weeks of training, practice, and mentoring, and they need to be paid while they learn. Clients pay for finished work. No one pays for the training that makes a student ready.
That gap is where your gift goes. It decides how many students we can bring in.
Truly worldwide.
We start with BYU–Pathway students in Africa and the Pacific Islands and hire wherever talented students lack opportunity.
From applicant to working professional.
Every gift is restricted to the program UI Charitable approved. Here is each step it pays for.
Find and select students
Outreach in underserved communities, writing prompts, English-proficiency tests, and structured interviews, coordinated with BYU–Pathway.
Train them
Onboarding with live classes, team projects, and shadowing. Ongoing training in digital marketing, writing, critical thinking, and professionalism.
Let them practice
A training simulator where students build skills safely before they ever touch client work, plus the materials and software to learn.
Pay and mentor them
Stipends during non-billable training time, and coaching from Drum Leads and Drum Majors as they grow.
Measure the change
Baseline and follow-up tracking of skills, employment, retention, income, and wellbeing, reported quarterly to UI Charitable.
Keep it accountable
Program travel to student communities, plus the accounting, legal, and fiscal-sponsorship costs that keep every dollar compliant.

Questions
Gifts are made to UI Charitable, a 501(c)(3) public charity that sponsors Pearl 27’s program. They are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you will receive a receipt from UI Charitable.
Pearl 27 pays students for client work. Recruiting, training, and mentoring them before they are client-ready is not paid for by any client. Donations fund only that charitable training program, never our commercial operations.
Applicants from underserved and developing communities are selected under written, consistently applied criteria: writing prompts, English-proficiency testing, and structured interviews, coordinated with educational partners such as BYU–Pathway.
To six approved areas: recruitment and selection, training, stipends and mentoring during training, measurement and reporting, program travel, and the administrative and fiscal-sponsorship costs that keep the program compliant.
We measure every participant’s skills, employment, retention, income, and wellbeing from day one, and report to UI Charitable each quarter.
Yes. Gifts of $5,000 or more usually go best by bank transfer, stock, donor-advised fund, or check: see all ways to give. For corporate gifts, or a gift that funds a full year of a student’s job, email isaiah@pearl27.com and we will work with UI Charitable on the right way to give.
